Die Bassfrequenzen wuchern, die Beats zirpen und über allem echot Verveines schwereloser Gesang. Kleine, verlockende Albträume sind ihre Lieder. Unheimlich, aber elektrisierend.
La jeune Vaudoise appuie sur des boutons et chante par-dessus. En gros. Car en écoutant plus attentivement – et on devrait – s’ouvrent à nous des sons caverneux fantomatiques. Les basses fréquences foisonnent, les beats stridulent et le chant en apesanteur de Verveine s’y superpose en écho. Ses chansons sont des petits cauchemars attirants. Inquiétant mais électrisant.
This young girl from Waadt (note: province located in the French part of Switzerland) pushes buttons and sings. Roughly spoken. If you listen closely – and you should – there’s spooky sound-caves opening up right in front of you. The bass frequencies proliferate, the beats chirp and above all there’s Verveine’s weightless singing. Small, seductive nightmares are her songs. Creepy yet electrifying.
