Peter Kernel

Peter Kernel, the band from Ticino, the Italian speaking part of Switzerland, relies on DIY: Barbara Lehnhoff and Aris Bassetti release their albums on their own label “On the Camper Records”, shoot the video clips themselves and regularly retreat to their rehearsal room to record new songs. They always experiment with different varieties of indie rock. Sometimes they do it quietly, sometimes they make noise, but one thing is for sure: you’re always in for a surprise. The Canadian and the Swiss got to know each other fifteen years ago at the art college in Lugano. Since then, Peter Kernel has blossomed into one of the most stylistically confident guitar exports in Switzerland.
