Kampire & Decay present: Bunu Bop

This is where the heart of the East African underground music scene beats. Kampire and Decay are at the core of the Nyege Nyege collective, which sends clear and loud signals from Uganda’s capital Kampala to the global music world. When the two DJs and feminists in Kampire are not holding club nights for women under the most difficult conditions, they travel around the world and bring the best of Uganda’s club culture to local stages. Music from Africa and everything that does justice to the literal translation of Nyege Nyege is put on the turntable: «The feeling of a sudden, uncontrollable urge to move, shake or dance.»
