Under the name Gooooose, Han Han, audio-visual artist and front man for Duck Fight Goose from Shanghai, explores the musical interplay of man and machine in his immersive sound storms. He treats synthesizers and samplers as if they were fellow musicians with their own ideas, as well as instruments with buttons he can use to let off steam. Gentle flickering is startled by brute bass, which despite its mass is soon overtaken by a fidgety beat that somersaults over the whole thing, until he succeeds in musically spraining both himself and the captivated dancers.
