Who sows the wind reaps the storm. Or something like that. Amami is led by Raphael Anger (Imperial Tiger Orchestra), Gabriel Ghebrezghi (Tapes Adventure, Novoboy, etc.) and Inès Mouzoune. They’re explorers without ties, on a perpetual sound quest, like Don Quixote advancing undercover well hidden in a Trojan horse. Better to mix up the conventional (and to confuse the audience) as to stick to conformity or repetition. Body and soul are trapped in these almost cathartic rhythms, claiming both dancehall, electro pop, which we could just as well label a tropicool funk storm! Let yourself be taken away, go on this trip and forget everything else!
