NO BAD BONN KILBI IN 2020!

Hi guys

The 30th edition of the Bad Bonn Kilbi—originally set for the beginning of June 2020—will definitely not have had taken place. It won’t be carried out on the turf or in the dust, it will merely leave its mark as an animation on social media or appear as figures written down in the books. Or it will fly past you virtually as you consult it right here, on our website.

On March 11, 2020, brimming with anticipation, we had announced a wild and colorful program of current music. Many loyal fans were quick to confirm the popularity of the event by enthusiastically buying a ticket.

Today, on April 29, 2020, after months of work and for obvious reasons, after months of work, we have no choice but to file these tickets under «what a shame!». This will also result in a significant financial loss, the extent of which is yet unclear. The artists, technicians, agencies, local businesses, security guards, catering stands, suppliers and all of our other partners are also affected financially. Along with our volunteers, they would have been the ones to make this culturally and socially crucial, valuable and collective moment possible at all.

The Bad Bonn Kilbi is an independent festival with a reputation and an attitude. We fight insignificance and complacency. At the present time, we do not yet know whether or to what extent we will receive state subsidies and what the future will look like.

One thing, however, we do know: A fully-shaped Kilbi 2021 is very happy for your financial support.

Everyone owning a ticket will be personally e-mailed via the same channel that they bought their ticket from.

Another crucial element regarding the future of Bad Bonn is the future of our indoor club venue, our stage, our bar, our social meeting point. This is the place where we have hosted about 100 events per year since 1991. This is the place where we cling to our vision of combining the incompatible. This club is mostly funded with Kilbi money—money which is now missing.
