Der Multiinstrumentalist Rodrigo Amarante (u.a. mit Devendra Banhart und Adam Green, oder zusammen mit dem Drummer der Strokes als „Little Joy“) macht zwar meist himmeltraurige Musik in 20er-Jahre Klangästhetik, ist aber auch Brasilianer und für Gefühlsausbrüche in verschiedene Richtungen prädestiniert. Er ist aber auch einer, der in drei Sprachen – Englisch, Portugiesisch, Französisch – singt und klagt.

Mais, il est aussi celui qui chante et se lamente en trois langues : anglais, portugais, français.

Just imagine postponing the show - and dining times, the team loses, the concert is cancelled, the team wins, the concert becomes impossible to watch due to drunken artists. The multi-instrumentalist Rodrigo Amarante (among others with Devendra Banhart and Adam Green, or together with the drummer of the Strokes as “Little Joy”) indeed composes sad music in the sound esthetics of the 20’s, but is also Brazilian and predestined for all sorts of emotional releases. He’s also one of the rare group of musicians who sings in three languages – English, Portuguese and French.
