Ist es der Nerv der Zeit? Der Nerv einer Generation? Der Nerv einer zu sehr nach innen orientierten Nation? Das Schöne: Es spielt hier keine Rolle. Fest steht, dass das Zürcher Duo Wolfman schon breit respektiert war, als sie im Grunde noch gar keiner kannte. Die Gefahr, die besteht, wenn einem der Ruf vorauseilt, ist freilich, dass man den hohen Erwartungen nicht gerecht wird. Wolfman beweisen mit jedem ihrer gefeierten Auftritte das Gegenteil, und so wächst ihre Fangemeinde exponentiell, genauso wie die Anzahl ihrer Bandmitglieder: von zwei auf drei auf vier. Und das ganz ohne Wachstumsschmerzen, nur manchmal, da treffen sie einen Nerv.
Est-ce le nerf du temps? Est-ce le nerf d'une génération? Le nerf d'une Nation qui n'est que trop orientée vers son milieu? Pour le coup, cela ne joue aucun rôle. Ce qui est sûr, c'est que le duo zurichois Wolfman était déjà largement respecté avant même que quiconque ne connaisse l'un d'entre eux. Le danger lorsqu'une réputation nous précède est bien entendu de décevoir les attentes. Wolfman nous prouve le contraire lors de chacune de ses apparitions avec pour conséquence une croissance exponentielle de la communauté de ses fans, semblable à la croissance du nombre de membres du groupe: de deux à trois puis quatre. Et tout ça sans crise de croissance, sauf à parfois toucher un nerf.
Is it the spirit of the age? The spirit of a generation? The spirit of a nation that’s too oriented towards internal affairs? The beauty of it is that right here it doesn’t matter one bit. Sure, the duo Wolfman from Zurich was widely respected before anyone really knew them. The danger, if the reputation hurries ahead, is, of course, not to be able to fulfill the high expectations. Wolfman prove the opposite with their highly acclaimed gigs. Their fan community has grown exponentially, just like the amount of band members. From two up to three up to four. And all this without any growing pains.
