Gehen wir mal vom Klischee aus. Die Iren sind Leute, die beim Tanzen nur ihre Beine bewegen. Der Rest des Körpers bleibt starr wie bei einer Statue. Und jetzt versuchen wir dieses Bild mit dem Begriff "Funk" zu verbinden. Geht gar nicht! DJ Fitz ist Ire und soviel Funk, wie es nur geht. Er sucht sich nämlich die Tracks, die er auflegt nicht nur im Heimatland des Funk, Amerika, zusammen, sondern auf der ganzen Welt. So bewegen wir uns bei seinen DJ-Sets zu Musik, welche unseren ganzen Planeten umspannt und so zeitlos ist wie der Rhythmus an und für sich.
Sortons pour une fois des clichés. Les Irlandais sont des gens qui, lorsqu’ils dansent, ne bougent que leurs jambes. Le reste de leur corps reste figé comme celui d’une statue. Tentons maintenant de relier cette image au concept « funk ». Impossible ! DJ Fitz est irlandais, et funky autant que faire se peut. Il s’approprie en effet des morceaux issus du monde entier, et non pas seulement de l’incontournable Amérique. Ainsi bougeons-nous grâce à ses sets sur une musique qui embrasse globalement la planète et qui est sans doute aussi intemporelle que notre balancement intérieur.

And now we try to connect this image to the term “funk”. Not possible! Dj Fitz is Irish and as much funk as possible. He doesn’t just get his tracks from the home country of funk, America, but also tracks them down all over the world.
