Dabei geht es heute oft um mehr als die Leihgabe exotischer Samples, wie unter anderen die Pariser DJs Guido Minisky und Hervé Carvalho mit ihren Acid-Arab-Collections und ihren ansteckenden DJ-Sets beweisen. „This is not fusion, this is not a mix, this is a meeting“ lautet ihre Schahāda. Inspiriert von einer Reise nach Tunesien werkeln sie am Zusammenwirken der rauen Sounds von Acid-House und traditioneller Musik aus dem mittleren Osten und Nordafrika - das Resultat ist verblüffend. Yalla Yalla, auf dem Tanzboden wird es krachen.
