I’m not allowed to smoke pot because of the panic attacks it triggers. But sometimes I still long for this muscle relaxing intoxication, and then I treat myself with a good dose of Chromatics: angelic voice, beats enveloped in fog yet concentrated, crystal clear sounds. The nocturnal world waited for a new record for seven years, meanwhile enjoying the Italo synth sound creeping into TV series (Twin Peaks, Gossip Girl …), becoming even more heated when the producer and multi-instrumentalist Johnny Jewel allegedly destroyed all copies of a finished album after a near death experience. However, now the new album «Closer To Grey» is finally out and so the next chromatic kick is here. Let yourself fall into the night: «Days go by, chasing nights / Nothing lasts forever.»
