The guitarist Cedric Blaser from Ticino (the Italian speaking part of Switzerland) & Fribourg creates entire universes of sound with minimal elements, patiently letting them spin around and within him until they unfold their hypnotic magic. Where others place layer upon layer on top of their initial loop and build upwards, Blaser uses only a few simple motifs, leaving them with almost infinite space and endless time to intertwine and roam, modulating and reciprocating each other and then varied by him again in homeopathic increments. The sound flows in all directions and the time flows with it.
