Dance, yes, dance through the 60’s and 70’s, take the psychedelic and the funk with you, keep on going down to the basement clubs of the 80’s, where it sounds more electronic and dark: Lalalar from Istanbul connect times and worlds within their music, weaving in samples from their Anatolian heritage. The band is with the busy Genevan label «Les Disques Bongo Joe», which has, among many others, released the much-noticed debut album from the Turkish-Dutch psych rock band Altin Gün, and singles by the disco-Latin combo The Mauskovic Dance Band.
