Pastures. Jazz from down the field brought to Kilbi by Sc’ööf-rams from Lucerne. Bleating. The roar of the lambs, no silence here. Shearing. Animalistic minimal with a hint of industrial jazz. Gregarious animals. A quartet of drums, snappy guitar and a pair of saxophones. The wolf in a sheepskin. A post punk attitude and contemporary noise rock are hidden in a sonorous jazz coat. Are you kidding? Genre clichés or not, Sc’ööf confront us with powerful compositions, crucial improvisations and turn a concert into a physical experience without asking for permission. That’s just the way it is.
