Weyes Blood from Santa Monica plays the folk of the future. Unbelievably beautiful. Incredibly melodical. Soft as silk. In and between the lines she makes the difference. Natalie Mering, who’s already played with the avantgardist Ariel Pink, creates a subtly bad world and changes the landscapes in front of your eyes into new spheres. One senses the strange, that yet feels familiar, one feels the closeness that gets you further than expected. A travel through time and space, full of emotions and all sorts of moods. Like a fairy tale that is yet to be written.
