Even though the yearly rankings didn’t seem to have this Brooklyn quartet on the radar, the Pill’s Debut «Convenience» is the album of the year 2016. Razor-sharp, angst-fuelled lyrics blended with post-non-wave punk, if you can call it that. Dissonance is the program , with a saxophone that elbows it’s way through variegated sound structures , Kraut is in the indie-house. At home in New York people stand on each others toes, in the true sense oft he meaning, claustrophobic friction and permanent nervousness, call for a prescription of the Pill’s music, the panacea of the year 2016.
