Gaika
The avant-garde of electronical music seems to usually hail from England or Germany. But not at the moment. These days the most innovative electronical music is being created by the internationally scattered “Africa Diaspora Project NON Worldwide”, consisting of the Nigerian Klein, the Gqom boys from Durban, Dean Blunt or this years Kilbi artist from London with Caribbean roots, Gaika. With his bizarre mix of dance-hall, R&B and gloomy electronica he is covering a niche that shows no competition.
