One two check, one two check check – Kilbi as a big soundcheck; the opening is completely different for once. The label three:four records based in Lausanne (CH) with a subsidiary in Paris and a penchant for music from Lissabon opens the festival and brings drone pleasure to the early birds: soundcheck meets soundtrack, label meets audience, drones meet ears. The label’s artists play a big role at Kilbi. Last year the fantastic La Tène opened the festival, this year Norberto Lobo is going on stage. Who remembers? Not too long ago, this opening ceremony at this hour would have happened in front of empty Kilbi fields.
