The Japanese-American musician Mitski was born in 1990 and her musical and lyrical maturity leaves you simply astonished. Nobody is surprised she turned her back to the classical orchestra after her classical music studies to dedicate herself to guitar and bass and develop her own musical handwriting. On Mitskis new album “Purberty 2”, which was released on Dead Oceans, happens a gentle confrontation of youthful folly with the world of thoughts of an adult. Pop music can hardly be more honest than that!
