Kaum hat Frédéric Oberholzer alias Toronaut seine fragilen Singer/Songwriter-Kompositionen vollendet, da feldermeldet sich Bruder Manuel von der Elektronikfront. Mit dabei: Reiche Beute an schrägen Beats, Soundeffekten und atmosphärischen Klangteppichen. Kurzerhand legiert man also die beiden Komponenten und steht mit etwas Einzigartigem da. Jetzt muss das Eisen aus dem Feuer und auf die Bühne, solange es noch heiss ist.
A peine Frédéric Oberholzer alias Toronaut a-t-il fini de ciseler ses fragiles chansons, voilà que s’annonce son frère Manuel, aux manettes de l’arsenal électronique. Avec lui : un paquet de beats tordus, d’effets sonores et de tapis atmosphériques. On observe alors le choc de deux approches de la composition, pour un résultat immédiat et unique en son genre. Vite, il faut battre le fer sur scène, tant qu’il est encore chaud!
No sooner had Frédéric Oberholzer a.k.a Toronaut finished his fragile singer/songwriter compositions, than his brother Manuel (Feldermelder) came forward right from the electronic front. With him comes rich prey consisting of sloped beats, sound effects and atmospheric sound carpets. Without further ado the two components are forged together and stand there as a case of sui generis. Now the iron needs to be taken out of the fire and has to go on stage while it’s still burning.
